What is the FAKT project?
FAKT was a learning partnership in the framework of the EU programme Grundtvig 2, which has been realised in 2004 – 2005.
The learning partnership had to reinforce the objective of women from the EU member states as actors of Europe are growing together.
They address particularly migrant women, actors of ethnic or cultural minority organisations or in cross-border citizenship initiatives in the border regions of the enlarged European Union.
Several regions have been taken into account on the external borders of the enlarged EU: Catalonia in Spain, the border regions between Poland, Lithuania and between Poland and Belarus. In addition, the border region between Germany and Poland with an internal EU border, being an external EU border on 1 May 2004 at present.
Objectives
The objectives of the partnership have been achieved:
- To get to know the exchange between players from Germany, Spain and Poland.
- Visits to exemplary local projects in Spain, Poland and Germany.
- The publication of “best practice” examples of women from Spain, Poland and Germany, with exemplary cross-border support through their intercultural coexistence initiatives at regional and national level, as well as at the external borders of the EU.
